The challenge
As a global international development charity, Tearfund needed to navigate a rapidly changing digital landscape while ensuring technology, data and AI supported its mission, people and organisational priorities.
This required moving beyond individual digital initiatives towards a more joined up, strategic approach to digital transformation, strengthening organisational capability, encouraging innovation and helping teams adapt to new ways of working.
Our approach
As Head of Digital Maturity, Kit provided strategic leadership across digital transformation, innovation and responsible AI adoption.
Her work included:
Digital strategy and transformation: Led the development of a digital transformation roadmap, identifying strategic priorities, opportunities and the organisational changes needed to strengthen digital maturity.
Digital maturity and capability: Developed approaches to assessing digital maturity, identifying gaps and helping teams build the skills, confidence and capabilities needed for change.
AI strategy and governance: Led the development of Tearfund's organisation-wide AI strategy and roadmap, driving strategic direction and organisational engagement while helping establish the governance and responsible practices needed for adoption.
Innovation and service design: Introduced human centred approaches to innovation, encouraging teams to understand audience needs, challenge existing processes and explore new opportunities.
Leadership and organisational change: Worked across teams and senior leadership to build alignment, support strategic decision making and embed digital thinking into organisational priorities.
Training and engagement: Equipped colleagues and leaders to understand emerging technologies, explore practical applications and build confidence in adopting new approaches.
